who we are
The weekly online magazine "the COMMON SENSE?" his name was inspired by the "common sense" applied by the average modern "prudent" man.
It is a journalistic proposal based on the philosophy of "slow journalism" and is a counter-proposal to the journalism of the dominant press that is overwhelmed by mass reproduction of news on a 24-hour basis in the Mass Media (churnalism) which inevitably leads to uniformity of content.
In “the COMMON SENSE?” through articles, reports, tributes, podcasts, interviews and publications of articles in the local and international press we approach, comment, analyze and interpret the social, political, cultural current affairs, while at the same time we are equally fascinated by history, art, travel and the contemporary lifestyle.
The magazine's team includes both journalists and people from the scientific and artistic community who live in various parts of Greece and abroad, acting as an open platform for those interested in expressing themselves and commenting on current affairs and timeless issues that concern human nature.
What we are interested in is identifying and illuminating the most important topics within the constant flow of news. We resist the trend of constant digital consumption of news and aspire to reduce the noise of the relentless speed of current affairs which leaves no room for a more meaningful perspective on news, people and events and at the same time drowns out what is not "breaking news". in the tabloids and on the front pages of the press.
The magazine's wed-radio offers selected music and performances that are hard to find anymore. Music from other times, but also modern, in a repertoire that moves from jazz to classical music and from bossa nova to big bands.
“the COMMON SENSE?” is a journalistic proposal that aspires to illuminate the aspects of human existence, behavior, everyday life and current affairs that flirt between common sense and irrationality in times when the established average way of thinking and feeling of every society deviates from the ideal "Common Sense", as attributed to term "common sense" in the English language.
