Summer, aperitivo, pasta, gelato, lanterns, swing music and a wonderful garden...
What can one create with these ingredients?
At the Fortress... "Come semper... qualche meraviglioso"!
"As always something wonderful"... but this time the ingredients lead almost perfectly to the organization of a Jazz & Swing Italian evening in co-organization with the magazine thecommonsense.gr and with the presence of Aperol.
A big party with the amazing band Vanila Swing, with Italian tastes, smells and most of all atmosphere is coming to the Fort on Wednesday night July 20th at 9:30 pm.
So, for one night only, the Fortress is transformed... It fills the trees of this unique garden in the center of the city with rows of lanterns and creates an atmosphere reminiscent of the Italian countryside on a summer evening with Aperor Spritz, pasta, ice cream and the music of the band Vanilla Swing with the theatrical Leda Angelakis on singing, Konstantinos Zotos on piano, George Konstandakis on saxophone and Orestis Gravaris on drums. Vanila Swing is a band formed in Athens in 2011. Over the years the band has created a unique and dynamic sound, combining 50's rockabilly and 40's swing with fresh rock n' roll elements. Through this strong musical direction, they reinterpret classic and contemporary songs and produce original works.
And because Italy is not possible without apperitivo, pasta and gelato... the Fortress offers with every Aperol Spritz a pasta from the Pasta Box, with every pasta from the Pasta Box a bubble waffle from the Sweet Box and with every bubble waffle from the Sweet Box another a!
