It opened a few months ago in the center of the city, in a building of exceptional aesthetics that was built in 1925 and housed the textiles of Chytiroglou. The result is a combination of architectural eclecticism, aristocratic sophistication and contemporary functionality.
…
Architectural finesse that brings to mind other eras of Athens. Eclectic style that combines the urban norm with the romance of past decades. The new 5-star hotel The Dolli at Acropolis of the N. Daskalantonakis group is located in the heart of Athens (corner of Mitropolis and Aiolos) and reminds us why the capital was once admired for its buildings.

Where the new boutique hotel now stands, was once the headquarters of Chytiroglou textiles.
The use may have changed, but the beauty of the building (plus the necessary additions to make it functional in today's conditions) cannot be altered. For the record: where the new boutique hotel is now, was once the headquarters of Chytiroglou fabrics (for decades).

The walls are decorated with works of art - even by Pablo Picasso and Jean Cocteau - there are sculptures by the likes of François-Xavier and Claude Lalanne, several antiques and a collection of ancient Greek ceramics also on display. Finally, the main lobby features replicas of the original ceiling, doors and windows of the historic building.
