"Timeless readings of love": Timeless Museum of Larissa

On Friday, May 5 at 8 p.m. the inter-artistic "exhibition within the permanent exhibition" with the theme: "Timeless readings of love" will be inaugurated at the Timeless Museum of Larissa. This is a project hosted for the first time in this area, within the framework of the actions of the "EROS"-8th OPEN NIGHTS festival (May 4-16, 2023) and highlights the theme of love through museum exhibits and works by contemporary artists.

Starting from the "Timeline" section where vases, figurines and jewelry will be exhibited on the theme of the manifestations of love in the emotional and carnal dimension, the visitor will follow a route through the permanent exhibition and at selected points, through a QR code, will be able to receive more information about the specific items.

At the same time, the contemporary artistic creations "A Touch of Eros" (Video Art by Johannes Christopher Gérard) and "Invisible Love" (visual work/digital installation by Theodoros Rados) will connect the past of art with the present, while the dance performance " Androgynous" (by Iro Vassalo and Konstantinos Hairetis) will unravel the tangle of love's journey at the museum.

The event will be accompanied by the band "Pentovolo", which combines sounds from the Greek tradition and modern music.

The project will remain at the museum until October 2023.
