The summer has progressed, the heat is becoming more and more noticeable and the need for a cool drink that will invigorate us, fill us with nutrients, but at the same time will not spoil our effort to control our weight, is becoming greater and greater.
So what's more appropriate than a smoothie?
In recent years, smoothies have entered our lives for good, as they are delicious, healthy, rich in vitamins, fiber and calcium and particularly filling. If combined, in addition to fruit and nut butters, they can even replace a meal!
We tend to keep a mental list of the types of food that go well with other types of food. Peanut butter, for example, works really well with bananas. But what about some of the foods we don't normally associate with them?
This smoothie recommended by Papagiannis OLYMPOS combines peanut butter with two fruits that most people generally neglect to pair with it: strawberries and pineapple… But even though this match up may not be common, we can assure you that the result is delicious!
Components
- 1 ½ cups strawberries (fresh or frozen)
- 1 cup Greek yogurt (plain, non-fat)
- 1 cup milk (of your choice)
- ¼ cup pineapple juice
- ⅓ cup OLYMPOS Papagiannis creamy peanut butter
- 1 tablespoon of honey
Instructions
- Put the strawberries, yogurt, milk, pineapple juice, peanut butter and honey and beat all the ingredients together in the blender. Mix until they are homogeneous.
- Add honey for taste. Mix again.
- Serve immediately
Tip
Put the peanut butter in a kettle to melt for a while so that we can beat it better in the blender
