Exhibition-action entitled "Let me be myself": Municipal Gallery of Larissa - G.I. Katsigra Museum

The 1st Experimental High School in collaboration with the 3rd High School of Larissa are presenting the exhibition-action entitled "Let me be myself" at the Municipal Art Gallery of Larissa - G.I. Katsigra Museum

In the foyer of the Municipal Art Gallery of Larissa - G.I. Katsigra Museum from Wednesday 25th to Friday 27th of January, the exhibition entitled "Let me be myself" is presented in collaboration with the 1st Experimental High School and the 3rd High School of Larissa , on the occasion of Holocaust Remembrance Day. The exhibition aims to invite visitors to reflect on diversity, identity, prejudice, human rights and democracy.

The first part of the exhibition connects the story of Anne Frank's life with today. The fate of millions of victims of the persecution of the Jews during the Second World War still causes concern and concern today. With photographic material and texts, the picture of her life is given, from her birth in 1925 in Frankfurt, to her death in Bergen-Belsen, in 1945. The panels of the exhibition provide information about the edition of her diary, and the time who lived

The second part of the exhibition "Let me be myself" connects us to the present and consists of stories of young people. It touches on issues such as identity, self-image and how others see us. It deals with diversity, discrimination and finally the attitude of people towards the different.

The students of the 1st Experimental Gymnasium and the 3rd Gymnasium of Larissa address and invite their classmates to be informed about the Holocaust Memorial Day.

Schedule of visits:

Wednesday 25 to Friday 27 January and hours from 9:00 – 14:00

Friday January 27th 16:00-20:00 at the Municipal Gallery of Larissa-G.I. Katsigra Museum.

The tour will be conducted by 12 students, who have been trained online for this purpose, from the "Anne Frank" museum in Amsterdam.

The exhibition - action was supported by the teachers, Zisopoulou Varvara, Theodoropoulou Ioanna, Kolokotroni Ethalia, Giannioti Eftychia, Koya Apostolia and Hatzipanagiotou Maria.
