Children's Literature Week 2023: Municipal Library of Larissa
The Vice-Mayor of Culture and Science of the Municipality of Larissa, the Municipal Library of Larissa and the Cultural Center for Educators of Larissa (POKEL), are organizing for the 16th year the "Week of Children's Literature", an award-winning program for cultivating a love of reading and creating lifelong readers (Kyklos tou Hellinikon Children's Book-IBBY, 2018).
The events will take place from Monday 13 to Friday 17 March 2023 at the Children's Department of the Municipal Library, at the Hatzigianni Spiritual Center and are aimed at Primary Schools of Larissa.
During the five-day events, students will have the opportunity to meet authors and illustrators of Greek Children's Literature, to discuss their books, the art of writing and illustration and the benefits of reading books.
They will also have the opportunity to learn about the Municipal Library, its operation and the services it offers.
This year, we have the great pleasure and honor of having five acclaimed authors participate in the program: Maria Papagianni (13/3), Filomela Vakali (14/3), Sofia Mandouvalou (15/3), Sofia Paraschou (16/3), and Erica Athanasiou (17/3).
The events are held in collaboration with the Directorate of Primary Education of Larissa.
