Opening of a group art exhibition Memory Warehouses: JOIST Innovation Park

The BRAGGART Contemporary Art Gallery, https://www.braggart.gr/ presents at the JOIST Innovation Park https://joistpark.eu/ art exhibition of its collaborators entitled Memory Warehouses, from June 2 to 4, 2022, curated by Valentinis Margaritopoulos.

During the three-day activities, the group art exhibition will be presented with works of painting, digital art, sculptures, video & sculptural installations, and at the same time two different performances and videoart projects will be presented, which will seek to inspire the emotional bonds of the visitors in visual, auditory and psychological level, to question the unpredictable encounters and experiences of individuals in everyday and historical contexts. All to help create a storehouse of memory that includes personal experiences and collective stories.

Memory is the person, a concept, an emotion, an object, a smell, another person. Little and big things that bring memories back to the surface, without control. Regardless of their differences in starting point, materials, media, and techniques, the visual artists in the exhibition complement each other in their approach. The exhibition constitutes a complex narrative, a joint and, at the same time, individual tour. Sometimes with an emphasis on personal experience, sometimes based on history, sometimes with references to the subconscious, sometimes with symbols, the artists fight against oblivion, penetrating the shelters of memory.
