Guided tour of the "Timeless Readings of Love" exhibition: Timeless Museum of Larissa

On Friday 17 and Saturday 25 November at 11.30 am. archaeologists from the Ephorate of Antiquities of Larissa will guide the public to the exhibition "Timeless Readings of Love" which is hosted at the Timeless Museum of Larisa and has been extended until the end of 2023.

The inter-artistic and research project, "Timeless readings of love" in the two largest Museums of the city, in Timeless Museum of Larissaand Folklore Historical Museum of Larissa extends its presentation until the end of 2023, continuing the guided tours.
The project was created by the OPEN NIGHTS festival for its 8th edition on the theme of LOVE, in May 2023, with the collaboration of the two Museums and concerns an "exhibition within an exhibition" in each Museum, while at the same time Greek and foreign works are exhibited contemporary artists and researchers related to love:
In the Diachronic Museum of Larissa, selected findings are presented for the first time, while relevant pieces of its permanent collection are highlighted through an interactive (signalized) connection. At the same time, works by the Larisa artists Theodoros Randos and Konstantinos Papagyris and the German Johannes Christopher Gérard are presented. The Ephorate of Antiquities of Larisa plans for the month of November two guided tours for the public, on Friday 17/11 and Saturday 25/11 at 11.30 am.
At the Folklore-Historical Museum of Larissa, the project connects Folklore treasures from the Museum's collection, with works by researchers Ioanna Giannakopoulos and Stella Davaroukas concerning the institution of dowry and contemporary Chinese choreographer Maja Renn. The project is also linked to the current periodical exhibition PROIKA of the Museum, edited by Mrs. Fanis Kalokairinos, with guided tours and educational programs for schools.
The OPEN NIGHTS festival created the "Timeless readings of love" with a desire to connect cultural fields, arts and sciences as well as the past with the modern reality, with the support of Deputy Mayor of Culture and Science of the Municipality of Larissa, the Region of Thessaly and the Ministry of Culture and Sports.
