The theater group Canicula Puppets was founded in 2008 in Guatemala (Central America) by a group of creators: poets and writers, painters and actors, under the direction of Roberto Braham Chavez.
Using the puppet as one of the most amazing theatrical instruments, we travel to a sweet and nostalgic landscape where “Amikeco”, the protagonist, demonstrates the power of love and the value of true friendship.
The name Amikeco comes from Esperanto, the most widespread international language created to harmonize with the different peoples of the world.
In this unique language, friendship means friendship. Through Esperanto's polite understanding of cross-cultural communication between peoples of all nations, the show "Amikeco" uses music exclusively.
The theatrical work of Canícula Puppets attempts to use music as a global communication tool. Music has always allowed the expression of impressions and feelings, regardless of space and time. In this show, the melody, written especially for Amikeco, plays the second leading role and accompanies him on his many adventures, in search of something very important to him, which the audience will discover together during the show!

The Deputy Mayor of Culture & Science of the Municipality of Larissa, the Tiritoba Municipal Puppet Theater and the Puppet Museum are organizing the 7th Larissa Puppet Theater Festival at Pappa's Mill which will last from May 8-15.
The Puppet Theater Festival includes puppet shows for young and old, street theater and puppet making workshops, a puppet exhibition and guided tours of the Puppet Museum, screenings, videos - a tribute to the late Sofia Foutzopoulou and Costas Hatziandreou who created the Tiritoba Municipal Puppet Theater in 1984 and until today has welcome countless children into his arms.
The Puppet Theater in Mylos invites its little friends and its magical world will reveal the secrets of the most unlikely creatures of fairy tales and the puppet theater.
