“Hidden Agenda” Kostis Tsiaha's photo exhibition: Wisedog
Wisedog begins 2023 by opening on Friday January 20 at 20:00 in its underground exhibition space the first solo exhibition of photography by Kostis Tsiaha, entitled "Hidden Agenda", curated by Valentinis Margaritopoulos. The exhibition includes the presentation of the polymorphic project with photographs from the "Hidden Agenda" series, videos and soundscapes.Through a look of reflection, the photographic unit "Hidden Agenda" by Kostis Tsiahas consists of a series of photographs with a strong mysterious and symbolic reflection. Minimalist landscapes, dystopian compositions, postmodern still lifes characterized by a particular aesthetic activate the viewer's gaze and put them in a process of immersion, emergence, search and thought. Through a multifaceted photographic allusion, the obsessive idea of the search for form and light is conveyed by absorbing time and memory, searching for presence in absence.
Using his experiential memory and his personal language, Kostis Tsiachas transforms frames of the natural world into imaginary images, loaded with this inner, hidden intellect of human experience - hidden agenda. He captures this hidden resonance by believing in the transformative power of stillness and always keeping in mind the composition, the theme and the development, satisfying the artistic need to explore a moving – still world. BioKostis Tsiachas was born in Larissa, studied visual design in Milan and developed the theory of "Techno-Urban" for the connection of art and technology in the urban space, as part of his postgraduate work at the Department of Architectural Engineering of the University of Thessaly. He is active as a graphic designer and street artist. Video – his installations have been presented in Larissa, Athens and Milan. He deals with ambient music and released his first digital album in 2021. He has been photographing since 1997 when he discovered the 16:9 frame and another medium, the most personal, to convey the experience of the resonance of a moving - still world.
